Tarneit & Wyndham Estate Guide

Great places to live in Tarneit, Wyndham, Werribee, Hoppers Crossing and Truganina

Find New Land in Tarneit, Wyndham Vale and Point Cook.

As the noise and speed of the city recedes into the background, just a stones throw away, you’re in beautiful Wyndham. What first strikes you, is that it really is not that far from the CBD…just a short 25 minute drive.

Someone once joked that you should take your jerry can with you when heading out this way. That person later did visit and ironically now lives here…they shall remain anonymous.

Wyndham has really become one of those hidden treasures. It has gone from strength to strength. It is hard work to move from a reputation of being a country town, far away. In hindsight, it is hard to imagine how Wyndham even looked 10, 20 or 30 years ago. In 2007, Wyndham bears little resemblance to what the long time locals remember it as.

The numbers tell the story. With well over 115,000 residents and counting, Wyndham is one of the fastest growing pockets in Victoria. Forget the notion of a country town, the growth of this community is phenomenal to say the least. A really good town is not only beautiful on the outside, but is also tailored to your personal living and working conditions.

The growth of new estates is fuelled by strong consumer demand. Wyndham comes complete with many prestigious residential enclaves. The success of the estates has been largely due to their commitments to build new schools and various other facilities to cater for their residents. The result is a fantastically functional family design which allows parents to rest assured that the kids are as safe as possible when going to school particularly when its just a couple of blocks away and where there is no need to cross a busy intersection.

The strong family presence of modern Wyndham families means that Wyndham is being developed with a real emphasis on environment and sustainability, a place where families can grow. Family friendly, the area
boasts plenty of open spaces and parklands with a wealth of native fl ora and fauna. Developers have caught onto the attraction to open spaces, walking paths and waterways and are increasingly offering these as incentives to potential buyers. People now want the area they live in to complement their home. A good looking neighbourhood adds to the aesthetics of the home.

The open areas are designed to be easy to maintain both now and into the future. The parks manage to remain the central features of the area without dominating the space, allowing the eye to fl ow from one beautiful area to
the other.

Reflections Estate is a development by National Pacific Properties Pty Ltd. When planning the estate, the aim was to ensure that the estate was functional, environmentally friendly and one which will stand the test of time. The clever design creates a feeling of spaciousness which works really well for growing families.

Located off Sayers Road, Reflections is well positioned to take advantage of both Werribee Plaza and Wyndham Village shopping centres, as well as a great variety of schools. In addition to this, there are proposed retail and leisure uses for the site, as well as a commercial precinct on the corner of Derrimut & Sayers Roads.  And Tarneit will have its own police station here at Reflections Estate – due to open in late 2009.

The main feature of Reflections is a large central wetland and lake reserve, which will be extensively landscaped. Shared walking & cycling paths will provide a 1.85km circuit around the full length of the wetlands, and a central boardwalk will cut across the wetlands creating two smaller circuits for those wishing to take a shorter stroll.  A planned fitness trail will also provide further exercise opportunities for those who take fitness more seriously.
.
Reflections offers a wide variety of lot sizes to suit all purchasers. The lots range in size from just over 300 m2 to in excess of 600 m2, with the average lot being 470m2.   A number of lots have direct views across to the central wetlands area.

Stage 1, 2 and 4 are now completed, and stage 3 is currently under construction. It is expected that the estate, 12 stages in all, will be completed over the next 4 years.

The estate caters for all types families – from young families or singles just starting out through to those wishing to build a larger home.  A large variety of land sizes ensure there is something to suit most budget and lifestyle needs.

A display village, featuring 21 homes by some of Melbourne’s best known builders, opens in October 2008.

The vision of this project is to create a highly sought after and well regarded residential estate that maximizes opportunity for resident satisfaction and lasting value.  During the planning process, the environment was of particular importance. The use of rain water tanks is mandatory at Reflections and $3,000 is rebated toward this cost directly to the purchaser. This means Reflections is doing its bit to help save a precious resource and should result in at least an additional 20% saving of water use in each household.

The wetland will be an important environmental asset treating urban storm water runoff in a man made system that mimics the effect of natural wetlands and creating a habitat for birds, animals and native flora as well as a recreational asset for the whole community. Boardwalks, a viewing platform and extensive pathways are all planned to provide a great lifestyle experience for all Reflections residents.
